    TINT

Just bought my black WRX last week and putting tints on it tomorrow. Still undecided if I should go with 25% or 35%. Any opinions??

If you like the look of dark windows go with 25. 35 really isn't that dark.

Depends on the color. If its white or black, go dark. Blue looks better with a lighter tint. Just my taste.

I've always gone with 5% (limo) in the rear and 35% on fronts. Cops get a little edgy when you go less than 35% on the fronts. I've done this on ALL my cars and never got pulled over and I think it looks great.

I used to have 15 in the back, maybe I'm too old now but I started having a lot of difficulty seeing out the back at night time, usually an issue with backing out of a driveway or when parking.

The dark interior will make the tint look darker from the outside as well...so you can actually do a relatively light tint (such as 30% or so) and still have a nice smoked glass look, and still keep good nighttime visibility.

It really depends where you live. I had 5% all around for a year or so and never had any issues.

35% to me is really light. I have 20% on the front two and 5% on the rest right now and that works out pretty well. 5% all around looked great, but I had to roll down my windows at night to make turns on really dark roads (like neighborhoods without street lights). 20% on the fronts means I can see out easily, but it's still reasonably dark. Love the 5% on the rest of the car, helps with tailgaters at night and I can leave valuables in the back seat or trunk and know that no one can see them.

i got 15% based on the idea that if the cop wants to be a **** about tinted windows, he will be a **** whether it is 15,25,35...etc. at least in cali any front window tint can be cited.
