I put the clear bra on my '11 SWP WRX the day I took delivery. I won't bother with pictures because you can't see it in the pictures. I don't know what brand it is, but I would recommend doing this as soon as possible. You may end up replacing it every few years because of discoloration or fading, but it is a lot cheaper than repainting the front of the car every few years because of rock chips.

How it lasts and what it looks like is completely determined by care and installation process. A good film will take years to begin to discolor if taken care of properly. Price is going to vary on which film you choose and the quality of the install. In my detail work I've got nothing but good things to say about Premier clear bra cleaners and sealants. One of my customer's alpine white M3 has had a 3m film for over 4 years now and it still looks brand new (no discoloration, no stretch marks or peeling at the edges, no cracking or matting).

I second this, I had mine put on the day I got it. The company that put mine on used 3m film, she does it for all of the 3m Exec's Ferarri's and Porsches etc. Can't see it unless the car get dirty and you can tell where the seam is.

    She did:
    1. Hood up to the hood vent
    2. Hood vent insert
    3. Thin strip above windshield
    4. Front quarter panels to match hood seam.
    5. Strip on ends of all doors that runs vertical
    6. She evened out the factory rear door ones as they were uneven!
    7. Top of rear bumper that slightly wraps
    8. Mirror Covers
    9. Paid $300 cash
    10. Front bumper to get wrapped entirely: $400

When choosing an installer, make sure to ask to see some of his work or at least close up pictures. There are a lot of hacks out there and when you shop around for the cheapest installed price, you'll often get sub-par film and/or an inexperienced installer. No matter what you paid for the job, you won't feel good about your purchase if the installer leaves unnecessary marks in the film, exposed edges, or film that doesn't stand up to the elements or scratching.

As for the best brand, here is a long discussion about that.

I have the XPEL bra, installed it the week I got delivery of the car. It is covering the:

    1) hood up to the scoop
    2) scoop on the inside
    3) front bumper including all of the removable fog light and side vent pieces
    4) half way up the fenders
    5) mirrors
    6) underneath the door handles (to prevent scratches from fingertips)

As said above, you can not see it in photos unless I get up close and purposely take a photo. In that case, it just looks like the line of a clear piece of plastic lol. Every once in a while at a meet someone will notice it when the sun is setting, etc, but this isn't often. I would 10000% say to get this done, it is totally worth it and my front end is amazing looking after 16k miles on the car (which A LOT of it was highway driving back and forth from SC and VA to NJ).

It cost me $450 bucks to get it done in SC.

Anymore questions, hit me up. I've had it for almost 2 years on my car so I have a good amount of experience cleaning it, dealing with it coming up in one spot (installer fixed it right away), etc.
