They should have an adapter for this where you bought the exhaust. It's an often used part, readily available. It re-uses the doughnut seal and needs another gasket for the flange side. Should be available from where you got your exhaust.

Hi. I'm new. I've googled high and low for an answer to this question with no avail. I purchased an HKS catback and want to install it, but my OEM cat is 2.25. The inlet on the exhaust is 3". Where can I find an adapter for this? I don't want to cut and weld anything because I purchased the exhaust full turbo back, which I will install when I can tune the car. For now, a catback will work fine.
What do I need? Sorry if I overlooked another thread on this subject, I couldn't find anything.![]()

You can't have everything - where would you put it?
There are adapters for the downpipe to stock CBE out there (Rallysportdirect.com) has them...but I haven't seen anything for the other way around...
...though I suspect it shouldn't be a problem anyway. I've mated numerous CBEs that were 3in directly to the downpipe without any problems.
You shouldn't have to cut/weld anything at all.
