Will this mod work?

Hello Fellow Subaru fans I have a question regarding a body mod, more specifically, I want the 2004-05 STi Hood Scoop
On my 2002 WRX.

I feel that the bug eye WRX is in much need of a bigger scoop and was wondering if it's an easy swap, just a few cuts and welds? Or is it much bigger than that? Just curious if anyone has tried this or thought about trying this, and if it works or not, it would look Bad ass to have an STi spec'd bug eye in America wouldn't it?

There are replicas out there that are made for this. I personally didn't like it and went with a 02-03 sti scoop.
