Would love some feedback...I have a '12 SWP 5dr... I plan to keep it stock with the exception of overlays and tints. I probably will not lower it or put new rims since I am very happy with the appearance of the car. And bc of warranty and don't want anymore headaches.

I was curious to what u all think about debadging the car. Do you think it will look wierd on a stock car? I had my previous car debadged for the clean look but I also did a lot to the where the debadged look really looked better. So what do you think... Yay or nay on a stock car?

Debadge. It has nothing to do with being stock or modded.

I debadged & left the WRX on. Going to debadge the FXT today. Leaving the XT on.

My 11' SWP 5dr is debadged.

I love the look. Doesn't matter if it's stock or not. (:

    de-badge.

It takes the clutter out of the external appearance. I left my badges on for quite a while then it finally got at me and I removed them. Still wonder why I didn't do it sooner. Currently the only marking I have on my car is the rear subaru symbol.

Also, if they aren't there you dont have to worry about wax/dirt buildup between the letters or paint fading unevenly if you do decide to pull them off later on.

for me it doesn't matter if the car is stock to debadge it... some like the very clean look of it. I left mine on, but if you're going to do it... i'd do it now before the sun starts to take some color out of the other paint and you're left with a badge anyway lol.

Anyone - Goo Gone doesn't seem to take the adhesive completely off the paint. I can still see a blemish where the Subaru letters were. Any other product recommendation?

Debadge! Gives the car a more custom look IMO.

I used mineral spirits after rubbing off the adhesive with my thumbs (also had aid of a hair dryer..but in this heat just let it sit in the sun for a little while).. after that you'll want to buff the area by hand with meguires scratch X or similar light polish compound and a microfiber towel. Then wash the whole car so it all matches

Yeah, sometimes it doesn't come out that easy with the color though. On my 370z I debadged it, removed all of the residue, polished it with multiple compounds... it still could be seen from certain angles. It was also a white car though so that didn't help. All of that and I even detail a good amount of cars and didn't have that much trouble.

I used rain x bug and tar remover and a rubber squeegee. let the rain x soak in for a bit and start peeling. after I rinsed washed and waxed it. came out nice with no scratches.

Definitely debadge it! There's WAY too many badges on the back of these cars. Who needs 5 badges? If you want to leave anything I'd just leave the WRX badge (and of course the Subaru badge since that's screwed through the trunk lid).

I used my fingers and my badges came off easily and I just rubbed the residue off. But I did it when the car was brand new and the adhesive hadn't spent much time in the sun.
