I want to black out the brake light and the rear reflectors, but I haven't been able to find out how to remove the brake light.

    It's a 2012. It's in the spoiler also.

The light is not really designed to be removed. It is a separate piece, so you might be able to get it out....but it comes pre-mounted, if it burns out they replace your entire spoiler not just the light (same with the rear window washer)

I looked at mine yesterday....it does look like you should be able to get it out if you are careful and take your time. However, you may not be able to unplug it as the wires running inside might not have enough slack to get the connector out with the light (making it impossible to reconnect when you go to re-install).

If you choose to go for it (take pics please), if you lift the hatch about 1/3-1/2 way you will see on the underside of the spoiler that there are two black plastic flaps that can be popped down with a flat head screw driver. The mounting screws should be under those....you will need a bent screw driver to get between the screws and the back glass.

Be careful with how dark you make them. Too many people darken them so much their brake lights are virtually invisible, especially on a sunny day. This makes your car very dangerous to yourself and other drivers who won't see you slowing down or stopping!

Technically it's also illegal to do this so you can risk getting a ticket. The darker you make them, the more likely you'll be to get a ticket from your local Barney Fife.

If you want them to be darker, but don't want to deal with getting hassled by tha law, you could do the 'remove the clear plastic and paint the silver' trick.....it is a bit of work, but looks neat:
