I can't find a single on on Ebay that does NOT require the STI splitters.

I keep finding ones like this that comes with the splitters, but not sure of the quality and I'll have to have them painted: 04 05 SUBARU IMPREZA WRX-STi FRONT BUMPER LIP + COVER - eBay (item 250748270566 end time Jan-26-11 15:15:27 PST)

I don't think that is a V-limited lip. The V-limited lips generally have "extra" wing-looking tips on the outer edges by the wheelwells that point upward. At least that holds true on all the 06-07 WRX and STI lips.

That is an 06-07 WRX, not an 05. That lip will not work on your car... but there may be similar aftermarket alternatives.

The lip (on the red WRX) is either a factory 07 STI limited lip (without the STI badge).... or it is an aftermarket replica of the 07 STI limited lip.

.... Same one I've had on my car for over 3 years.

For 04-05 STI (splitters already installed)... $85 shipped:

With splitters is $165... looks like you'll need them.

Should look like this once installed:

^^^^ No shame at all there - LOL

I've had 3 on my car:

    1) A fiberglass replica for $200 (when they were brand new).
........ Broken in under 1 year

    2) A factory STI part for $500 (insurance paid for it)
........ Broken in under 1 year.

    3) A knock-off RUBBER lip Ibought on eBay for $69
....... Still on the car after 2+ years

Awesome, thanks for all the info. Looks like I'll have to get STI splitters after all.
