"RA-R Mod" on a 2011 WRX (Photos inside)

Hey folks...I've seen the RA-R mod posts many times on here but don't recall ever seeing it on a 08+ car. I was kinda meh about the idea at first (it reminded me of a GTI a tad too much) but I just decided to give it a try to see how it looks. It's already growing on me...I think it adds a lot to the look. Only cell phone pics for now, but you get the idea. Let me know what you think!

I'd look it up for you but I'm currently on the go...so no quick Internet searching. Maybe someone will post a better link but search around scoobymods.com.

You really won't need instructions though. Go to your local auto parts store and buy some red 1/4" pinstriping tape. It's self adhesive stuff and you just need to apply it to the flat surface of the grille where it meets the mesh grille. Just be careful, take your time, and it'll look super clean. And if you mess up, just peel it off and start again. The kragen I bought mine from sold it in rolls of 32', so you have enough to try over and over again. I got it jus about perfect on my second attempt.

Glad you like it! For 5 bucks and 15 minutes of your time I think it's well worth it. And subtle...not too "ricey".

Just finished applying mine. I love it so much haha adds the perfect touch to the grill. Not a fan of the tape looks up close but from '3 and farther back it looks great. I may end up peeling it off and painting something on but for now this is fine.

Yeah...it's kind of annoying how the tape isn't *quite* perfectly cut on the roll...but you're right. As long as you're not staring at it or 12" away from it it looks outstanding.

I'd say post some pics, but I'd assume it looks quite a bit like mine

Take your time and don't be afraid to peel it off and start over if it's not perfect. Well worth the time for the cosmetic upgrade (IMO).

I don't think I'll do the interior (does it look nice from up close??) But that rear diffuser looks awesome! Really really like that.
