2011 hatchback roof rack?

Just took delivery of my new wrx, need to order a roof rack, I get a discount through work, and I just want to make sure that it's the same mounting as the 2010. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. None of the rack sites have updated to 2011 stuff yet.

there weren't any body changes to the roof.. should be exactly the same.

Yeah, I went to the Thule website. They have a tab now for the 2011 subarus so you just follow the instructions. It is indeed the same rack as the 08-10 wrx's so if you want to get something used you can as well.

Which system did you get? if you could list it out that would be great! I'm thinking about using my friend's Thule rack, but I probably need to get the base feet kit that is specific for our vehicle. Let me know please!

Did this kit mount through the door jam? Any rub?
Assuming this is a bike rack? Are the bars so far forward so the trunk just clears when open? It looks kinda goofy in my opinion so i figured if they were set back maybe the door would not open?

on the black runners on the roof at four points there's a flap you pry up and it exposes a mounting point. the mounts bolt directly to those for a secure fit. the instructions in the box are fairly thorough. You buy the mounting pads to conform to the curve of the roof. 2 reasons for the forward looking racks, the first being so that i have adequate space for the hatch to open, the bike tires are going to stick out further than the rack itself. second is because most of the weight of the bike is in the rear so it's centered the weight of the bike on the runners. I admit it is not the prettiest thing but it works, that's all I'm after.

Thanks for the pics zeblax02. I also have an '11 WRX Hatch and I'm planning on getting the Thule Aero Bars for my 594 sidearms that I already have from my previous car. I'm curious of one thing though, I get that you had to move the trays forward to clear the hatch, but from what I recall, the front mounting point aligns with the load bar, but the load bars are aligned with the fixed points on the roof, so the only thing you can really move is the tray.

The bike (and rear tire) would be impossible to move forward. Is this correct? I just want to make sure that it will fit.. Does your rear tire clear the hatch?
