Anybody Debadge their 08-10 WRX hatch?

I usually debadge my cars, but for some reason I feel it may not look the best on the WRX hatch in silver.

Anybody debadge theirs and if so, can you post a pic of the back of your silver 08-10 hatch?

Also, would it look silly to debadge the "Subaru" and "Impreza" part but leave the WRX?

    Thoughts?

I have an 08 Blue Mica sedan. personally, I don't think that I'd debadge her. I'd be interested in seeing what it would look like though. Anyone good at photoshop?

I have a pic saved somewhere on my comp of a WRX hatch with just the WRX logo. It looks sick I'll see if I can find it when I get back.

nice photoshop work. that was quick to get all the options.

I'm thinking the "WRX" or "Subaru" + "WRX" badge combinations look the best. any other opinions?

wrxtreme, damn girl you are GOOD!!!

I was originally thinking of just removing the Impreza and leaving Subaru and WRX.
But I hate how the Subaru and WRX aren't the same height.

Then I though the WRX alone would look silly.
But thanks to your brillance, I see it and like it a lot.

The Subaru and Impreza are going bye bye today and just leaving WRX.

OK, all debadged except the "WRX"

Funny while debadging I realized that if I took out the P R A in IMPREZA it would leave
    IM EZ

While I was at it too, I removed the little sticker that says "symmetrical AWD" on the bottom of the rear hatch glass too.

Car looks really clean in the back now.

I am sure there are threads for this, but how exactly did you debadge it?

The way I always have and think pretty much everybody else does.
hair dryer and thin string (some use dental floss, but I find that's too thin and breaks too often).

Basically, take a hair dryer and heat of two letters at a time for 10-15 seconds.
Then use the thin string to place behind each letter and gently work it's way down like if you were flossing your teeth (you could just use your hands and grab each letter and pull it off, but the letters get hot from the hair dryer so it's best to use a small soft string).
    They pop off quite easy.

Then once all the letters are off, use the hair dryer again to gently (for a few seconds)heat up the left over glue on the trunk. Then just use your thumb and roll the majority of it off.

You'll find you still have a bit left.
Then with a soft cloth, use some "goo be gone" and wipe over that remaining glue. Let sit for a few seconds and rub remaining glue off soft cloth.

Once you've gotten pretty much all of it off, take another soft cloth and a bit of wax and buff any remaining glue bits off.

I did the "subaru" and "impreza" part in about 20 minutes.

    It's cake really.

Should have left the "symmetrical AWD" sticker imo. Oh well, let's see some end result pics, or this thread would be worthless lol

Alright, Thanks Driver72. I'll actually consider doing that. The impreza part has to go for sure...

    Nah, I hate the obvious.
It's like all the "Hybrid" badges all over the Prius.
I think 11 year old girls know the Prius is a hybrid, no badges needed.
I think everybody who knows even a moderate amount about cars knows the WRX is an AWD car. No marketing slogan needed on the back, no matter how small.

Will post pics tomorrow morning of the back without the badges and AWD junk. Plus I just had the car windows tinted yesterday and the ClearBra put on the day before.

Higher performance OEM like brake pads (low dusting too) go on tomorrow as well.
