So I debadge my car...but (pictures)

I finally had time to debadge my car I love the way it looks there was one thing though that after searching through many many forums i never did hear the fact that on an '06 WRX the middle Subaru logo does not come off due to the fact there are holes in the body so here is what the holes look like for all those people with '06 WRX's

Other than that one hang up it looks good
Stock:

And of course the afterwards....It does pay off

just finished doing this on my wagon, a few minutes ago. i used wd40 and crest glide floss, since i had both at home already. yeah, i noticed the best way to get the glue off was with my thumb nail.

so a few thumbs sore, and a cut on the pinky finger from floss, it all came out well. now i gotta take pics

nah, i dont think it scratched it. its black, so just touching it seems to scratch somewhat. im gonna check out that 3m hand glaze, see if it will help take out the swirls from carwashing. but yeah, thats about the extent of any scratching with the fingernail, just looks like swirly ones like i have on the rest of my car.

Sweet after i was done I went across the areas that I took off the lettering with "Nu Finish Scratch Doctor" that took away the swirl marks and the very little bit that you could see of the letters when looking at an angle. Not my favorite product but it worked fairly well.

they make a product called goof off. Its an adhesive remover, it works realy well. I have used it to remove stickers, emblem adhesive and it works good on those nasty bugs on the front bumper

I'm gonna debadge the WRX lettering on my trunk, is there a certain distance you should hold the blow drier?

i put it like 1/4" away from the letters. im not a professional, though. i noticed it would loosen, but it also made the surrounding panel pretty hot to work on.

Ya I dont THINK it really matters too much on the distance from the lettering if you move around there area for around 30 seconds no more than a minute (I wouldnt keep it in one place too long) use some fishing line and it slips right on through. Now yea you know I dont literaly mean it went through that easy but the point is, is that it was alot easier than expected
