Only other car was a '92 Accord. There was about 288k on it when i got my wrx, and it's still in the family and running.

Story?


Ya a small one. A girl I used to work with was mad cause she ran into me and got fired for it while we were delivering pizzas then had to pay the bill to fix it, So in the end she had her boy friend set my car on fire at 1 in the morning. It was on fire till about 3:30 because the fire fighters in my town suck. That's the short story, Lost my baby. Many more photos then these.

In the uk...
a 1985 Rover Metro (learner car)
a 1998 Citroen Saxo vtr (every little boy racer had one)
a 1992 toyota Corolla GTi (was a very quick little rare car)

then I hit 25 and could get some proper cars.... (insurance reasons)

a 1995 R33 GTR I had imported from Japan
a 1996 Mitsubishi Legnum VR4 (JDM) (needed a bigger less conspicuous car)
a 1995 "555" limited edition WRX STI Type RA (JDM) Awesome little thing

Then petrol went through the roof in the UK and having a JDM car I had to use Shell optimax to get the 99RON fuel, so I bought a diesel chug chug that ran on vegtable oil
a 1991 Toyota hilux surf (JDM)
a 1993 Golf VR6 (fun little run around to keep me amused while I had the chug chug)

Then I came to the US and bought ...
a 2000 Land Rover Discovery (which started to get poorly)
and now my 2006 WRX

If I had stayed with the little metro i would be a very very rich man right now

thanks, that list sure gave my wallet a beating.

In the UK we are just lucky that we have our steering wheel on the correct side of the car like the Japanese, so when they sell cheap we can just bring them over.

PFT....dont' get me started on how I wish the US would adhere to Metric, RHD amongst other things that seem to work fine for the rest of the world Would you say you would have a lot more memories if you stuck with the Metro? I find memories, experiences, and the people along the way are worth more than the dent in the wallet.

oh the amount of memories and smiles those cars brought, far exceeds the money i would have saved. well worth it, although I think if i could go back in time i would have done things differently.

I agree with you metric but not driving on the left. A vast majority of the world drives on the left side of the car/right side of the road, so I'm good with keeping it that way.
