I had a 1994 SE-R and I agree with that comment. Such a sweet car. I would like to find another one cheap and fix it for a second car.

Definitely. their great projects, esp since the sr20's could be had for dirt cheap. I want to slap a t28 or similar turbo onto it. I remmeber that use to be the thing to do with those cars.

Yeah, I have always wanted one with the sr20det engine in it, a little expensive but could probably torch my WRX from a roll if tuned right.

The car before my WRX was my first car: A 1992 Mazda MX-3. 5-speed, 1.6l SOHC with 88hp... what?! That all changed though...
I swapped in a B6T (1.6l DOHC 4cyl, iron block, tiny turbo) out of a mercury capri xr-2 and the fun began. With no prior tuning experience I threw gobs of boost to it and not alot of fuel: I blew it up after 1 month.
It took me 6 months to rebuild it: PWR FMIC, bored .040 over, wiseco pistons, 3-angle valve job, port and polished head, turbo, manifold, RC eng 370cc injectors, S-AFC2, and lots of other little stuff. In the down time i completely gutted it... no A/C, no P/S, aluminum sheet instead of a spare tire well, took out alot of sheet metal, all the sound deadening material...my estimates put it at 1950 lbs with me in it. I tuned it myself on the street and was able to manage a 13.9 @ 101 mph... not bad considering I had a 2.3 sec 60' (READ: torquey FWD on street tires).
Later I put in WEBCAM cams, a custom downpipe that was used on a race prepped 323 GTX and an I/C chiller... still using the stock tiny ass turbo i pretty much killed everything on the street. Sadly, things happened and I had to get rid of it for pennies on the dollar. I still miss the car though... theres nothing like frying the tires through three gears.

1984 Pontiac Sunbird - Couldnt trust it for my daily commute to school anymore
1994 Nissan Sentra LE - Rolled it
1998 Nissan Sentra XE - No Balls replaced by the WRX
1992 Nissan Sentra SE-R - Got rod knock in the process of selling her.
One of THE funnest cars I've ever driven. Was gonna do a SR20VE swap, but would have turned into a money pit. Tranny, brakes, rust didnt really make sense to keep it since I'm not to mechanicly inclined.
