1994 Toyota 4Runner SR5 is what I traded in for my WRX

Mine:

'29 Ford Model A Tudor (Bought at 14 for $80 and completely rebuilt engine. Did the rest up as a high school driver, with bright orange paint, metallic vinyl seats.)
'68 VW Beetle Convertible - bought for $1200.
'69 Fiat 124 Station Wagon - $650; my original SUV. Camped in it, drove it everywhere. The rust killed it long before the engine gave up.
'31 Ford Model A Deluxe Coupe - Grandpa's project I took over, but never finished. Sold for house downpayment.
'75 VW Scirocco - $5500; my first new car. Drove for 11 years, until the engine disintegrated coming home from work one day.
'81 Dodge Colt - $3500 with 50k miles. Just a driver to get by, but ended up a good reliable car. Twin Stick transmission (dual range 4 speed.)
'87 Ford Ranger - $14k, drove for 10 years
'97 Ford F-150 - 20 feet of truck! (Still have: see web page below. For Sale $12k)

I loved working on the stang, and learned how to rebuild a motor with it. The reliability of this one wasn't very good, so while I enjoyed it, I'm also glad it's gone.

funny, i'm seeing people with LOTS of other cars and not many subaru vehicles popping up on these lists at all. BANDWAGONERS!!!

granted i didn't own a subaru since 1993 before getting my wrx but there's at least there's some history in my lineage!

btw, you all know that even though this is true, i could care less if this is your first subaru or not, this is just a stab at i-club old school superiorist mentality.

What bandwagon? Subaru wasn't making anything good until the early 90's. All their cars rotted out here. Should we all have driven Brat's? Justy's?

Not much performance to be had out of the SVX either. So what bandwagon? You could say that about any car out there if you wanted too. Nobody is born with a suby. Every kid in the world is running around with a Mustang now and I had 3 of them over the past 10 years, before most of them could even drive, and I'm not running around calling them bandwagoners.

Interesting how many of us have been members of the DSM And 5.0/Stang camps before owning our WRX's. I guess that shows what we hold dear. Performance, sportiness, tossability...

I am a big sucker for 4-Cylinder/Turbo/AWD in one package. Or 8 cylinders and tire-smoking drop-clutch launches in a ponycar.

Damn... I wish I had enough money to pick up a new Cobra and my stable would be complete. :-)
