First learned manual on an old wranger with 300 K + miles on it. Great vehicles, will go through hell and back and still run.
Then when i turned 16 i got a '96 GMC Jimmy 4X4, leather, loaded, and at the same time i had a 95 Silverado. Had some fun wreckless times in both of those.
Then a couple months before i turned 17 i got my '02 WRX, and of course i still have her.

I remember those POS 2-spd GM automatics. Got the nice foghorn sound effect when you hit the shift point:
EEEEEEEE-oooooooo
Old, but not slow.
It was a lot of fun cruising at 60-65, punching it, having the trans drop into 1st, and away we go!! It was a great high school car.Originally posted by ScoobySteve
