all i have to say is thank goodness for living in Florida. Other than some bad rain storms we don't have too much inclement weather to deal with. I think i'd cry if i hit a curb in my new STI. Hope everything works out.

If you are referring to the CV joint, there should be a good amount of movement in this part. This joint needs to have enough movement throughout the range of suspension travel.

    Curb Hitters......

So just out of curiosity i want to see how many people have hit curbs this winter. Also how much damage has it all added up to? Well I guess I will start off.

I have an 06 wrx that i slid into a curb at about 25 mph. so far the damage looks to only be a bent tie rod. but we shall see as repairs go on.

I've only hit a curb once in my life. On dry pavement.

Now that I'm old, bitter, and cautious I don't drive fast enough in the snow to hit curbs.

Hit a curb. yes, i used to preach to others about it, now I am victim to my own stupidity. busted the driver's side lower control arm - bent the wheel straight back and mangled the CA. rear trailing arm, RIP. 1000 bucks in parts, damnit. I love the Northeast.

It takes a very special driver to hit a curb in Florida.
