Basically. All these premiums are completely arbitrary without knowing what coverage people are actually paying for. Nevermind the fact that we are spread across all 50 states and each state has their own insurnace laws mandating minimum coverages.

Was surprised when my insurance went down $7 a month from a 2013 BRZ to a 2014 WRX. I have $250 deductible and extra coverage and am paying $47 per month. If I went with standard coverage and a $500 deductible it would be $38 per month.

With what company? I have had no tickets in years, with 2 accidents (1 not fault, 1 fault) and I'm at $2,800/yr with $500 deductible. I'm 30.

NJ is ridiculous for insurance. If I were to move back to PA, my insurance would instantly drop 50% of what it is now.

Progressive. Full coverage of course...$1000 comprehensive, $500 collision deducts. I've been with them for 7 years now, so they like me. I've had a LOT of claims with them too (3 not at fault accidents, one at fault issue, and one "act of god" totaling of an STI which is not at fault).

Wow I cannot believe you pay that much! I wonder if it's your location...Middlesex county is pretty dense, isn't it? When I was living in PA, mine was higher than where I am now, but that's because I was in West Philadelphia, which according to Progressive, is one of the worst areas to insure (Manayunk/Roxborough areas).
