I had higher limits when I was out in Bellevue because it seemed like every car was a BMW, Lexus, or Mercedes. I definitely feel it's good to have limits based on your particular area.

If you're asking this, chances are pretty good I'm paying about 1/3 of what you are.

    I'm paying $170/mo on my 2.5 RS

The Impreza, regardless of trim level, scores really high in my area for some reason. Pisses me off. I've been shopping the last couple weeks and a couple agents haven't even finished my quote, and they've just told me to stay where I'm at. I'm 23, no accidents, one speeding ticket, and I've been with Progressive for 3 yrs (had it on my 91 MR2).

    Weaksauce.

Figured this would be a little easier to read, and proof that there are many variables. Though I don't have a WRX I had to go ahead and add my accord on there for kicks. Enjoy.

He probably is on his parents.. I'm still on mine. It's cheaper that way. Either way 17 and $2200/year is pretty high. When I started driving I was 17. I'm 19 now and my insurance only went down $3 with a full year of a clean driving record. I think age doesn't matter much until 25.

You get a small break at 21, and a bigger break at 25.

Also depends highly on what you have to loose as well.

when you say what you have to loose... do you mean like the car itself or like a house and other things?

Basically you just need to shop around. Not to sound like a commercial, but i saved $550 switching insurance and it only took me 15 min.

It really does vary widely between companys, area of the country, and what cars they deem to be at risk of driven like a racecar.

By the way Im nearly 26 with a clean record.
Yup, I had geico before, paying roughly $340/m for full coverage on a 1999 camry, no accidents tickets etc etc, I've been with them for about a year and never got any discounts or reductions on my policy, I called progressive and for the same exact coverage + rental reimbursement and roadside assistance it went down to $240 a month, 6 months later it went down to $200.
