    Holy Mother Flockin Insurance.

For a standard '13 wrx most insurace is asking for $820.83 monthly, that's

    $4924.98 Per 6 Months

Holy hell. I'm sorry dream-car, please wait another 10 years.

If anyone knows somewhere that quotes cheap, please let me know. I have 0 traffic violations, never have been arrested, etc.

That does not sound right. How old are you? Did you call around to Geico/progressive/etc to get a range of quotes? When I was younger (right before college) I was paying around $2,200 for insurance on my truck, but it went down quick.

IIRC from another thread, OP is 18. That does seem absurdly high though.

Dude, I bought a 2003 Evo VIII in 2005, was 21 and my insurance was like 120 a month. My insurance right now on a 2012 STi is only 83 a month.

    Im 29 now btw.

There is no reason (unless you already have tickets, tickets, tickets) that your insurance should be so high... search around like 11BlackSTi said.

You married Kritzell? My insurance went up about 20 dollars/month after my divorce... apparently insurance companies do not like single men.

Wow. I read it as $820.83/6 months at first and I was like thats high but not too bad. Geez thats almost $10,000 a year. Are you doing the online quotes or talking to a person? Here in NY your insurance is high until you are 25. At 18 I was paying $1250/year for everything full glass etc with $500/deductible for both comp and collision driving a 5 year old 5 speed bug. Now I am 27 spotless driving record and paying $1375 for a 2011 Ford Edge Limited and 2013 WRX limited with me and my fiance on the policy. Another thought when you are doing your quotes are you giving your ss#? There could be someone the same age as you with the same name and they have a bunch of tickets etc.

some companies are just hella expensive too though. we were shopping around and quoted an older wrx for my fiancé and it was some ridiculous high number with an insane down payment. but yet I have usaa and my highest payment was 225 a month with a brand new off the lot lancer es, got a 350z and dropped to 180, got my wrx and now its 111. had the lancer when I was 18 or 19...and im 22 now

Merged with the big insurance thread.

There are a big number of factors that go in to insurance rates. In my experience when you get a ridiculous quote it is be ause that company doesn't really want to ensure you. But rather than rejecting you they simply make sure it is especially financially favorable for them to do so.
