here is the insurance thread. i know there are a lot of posts but read through them for some ideas/suggestions.

really the best thing to do it call around and get quotes for yourself though, because what i pay and you pay are not going to be the same. even if we are the same age, same driving history, & same car.
+1 When I was getting quotes for the '11 WRX that I was planning on buying I got quotes from $250 a month to $2000 a month! You just have to look around.

Im 21 years old and drive an STI. I had 2 speeding tickets 3 years ago. Through progressive my payment is 148 a month with $500 deductable. Best price I found. It might make a difference with the year of the car, but I know progressive was by far the cheapest for me.

What are you guys paying for insurance on '11 wrx?

I've been thinking about getting one for a while now and AAA quoted me $220 mo. I'm 28 male and clean driving record. If you don't mind sharing what your paying please post up.

I pay $76.00 month through Progressive. 100/300/50 limits and $500 deductible. 34 years old, clean record. Shop around and you'll be able to find a deal.

Insurance rates very wildly for many reasons. Married status, age, driving record, company, coverage levels, deductible, how long have you been driving, how long have you been at current residence, even credit rating.

Only your insurance agent needs to know any of that. Shop around to the different insurance companies in your area. Maybe, you'll be able to find lower price quote.

    This.

That said, I've been quoted everywhere from $1000-6000/year for equal policies between different companies...

Hehe, I don't think you should have posted what you did. I'm not an insurance agent, and as far as I know there are none active on this forum.
