That makes complete sense as it's a different demographic that typically owns a vette.

very true. i still wouldn't have guessed it though. i would have thought they were about the same, but i guess the wrx having turbo in addition to the decreasing age of average driver causes insurance costs to rise.

It's the design. Rescuers have to cut the a and b pillars off to get to you out. Very solid and safe cars, but if you get into an accident it takes $$$ to straighten everything out...

WORSE driver?? How many accidents have I been in where it's been my fault...uh, zero? And you? Hmmm...counting the last WRX you totaled, I'd say...4?

How else would I have gotten my awesome rate?

2, and both of those were just a few months ago. And one of those was from hydroplaning on a loopy on-ramp and there was nothing I could have done.

You've hit how many things? More than zero.

Hydroplaning is a direct result of driving too fast for the road conditions. They will still consider that driver error.

Me and my wife pay 130 a month for my 04' WRX and an 07' Camry Leased vehicle so we have to have full coverage for both vehicles, 500 deductible. Not to bad I guess and I have 2 speeding tickets and a careless (not from driving my car) I have an 04' GSX-R street bike that I cant seem to keep on 2 wheels.

unfortunately, no one will be able to tell you how much you're going to pay except your insurance company.

there are a lot more factors that go into your quote other than age, # of tickets & location.

I'm not sure what my insurance rate is, actually.

We pay about 115/month for car & home-owners; that's for my wife & I (1 ticket - 10 over) on her 08 Avenger 6-cyl, my 09 WRX and the house...

I think you may qualify for the "I open doors for my significant other" discount.

    Where in NY?

Unfortunately, like wrxtreme06 said, no one can tell you. However, depending on your location, I can hook you up with some great insurance agents
