i get 25 mpg most of the time. sometimes it drops 1 or 2 miles. if i get on it alittle. i have an 07. i never let it get to empty. but when i fill it its usally right round 250 miles on the tank.

Hmm that's odd... maybee it has something to do with my elevation I live in slc and were at about 4300 feet above sea level

dont really know about that but it might i know my elevation is much less like around 700 to 1000 ft. dont know the exact elevation just a guess.

I know I'm exhausted its 8am and my 3 month old was up screaming all night lol.... I thought he mightve ment the difference in stock power from 06 230 claimed hp and the 09 265hp...

Yeah the air is a lot thinner up here so the motor has to work harder to breath... its weird up here too when you drink too I get drunker here off of less then I do in las vegas...lol damn science!!!!

I live in Nova Scotia just to indicate elevation and temp. I have been using the AP V2 to watch my milage (Stage 1 with a 3" CATback). I drive about 190km (120 miles) to work and back everyday. It is around 90% highway. I have calculated this over 1000's of Kms. This is what I have found:

Driving Fun:
Shifting around 3500-5000 rpm in town
Highway speeds around 120 - 125 km/h (75-77mph)
Passing with downshift and wot
winter tires (...it is still winter)
equals

20 to 23 mpg

Driving not so Fun:
Shifting around 2000-2500 rpm in every gear
Highway speeds around 100-105 km/h (62-65mph)
Passing... well no real need... I do get passed a lot (speed limit is 110 km/h (68 mph)
winter tires
equals

26 to 28 mpg

On a side note it typically takes the same amount of time to get to work no matter how I drive... I guess speeding only gets you behind that slow car faster....

Hmm... ill try cleaning my maf sensor and changing my fuel filter and see how that helps...

Yeah its a pain in the ass... I also work 55 hours a week and go to school fulltime... I average about 3-4 hours of sleep a night!!!lol

Jiffy Lube will not be able to change your filter for $50. They could if you had a 02-04 because in these years the filter was in the engine bay, and easy to get to.

The 05+ Impreza's have the fuel filter in the gas tank. Most shops will charge an hours worth of labor + parts to do it.
Here's the instructions on how to install the fuel pump, but it's nearly the same steps to change the fuel filter.

And anyway, there is no need to change the fuel filter, as your mileage will not be changed by having a new filter.

You need to train your right foot.

With the filter... I've bent the fuel line b4 and got gas in my eyes...lol bad times
