I went from 350 miles a tank to 260 on the same amount of gas going from stock to stage 2.

over time it would learn itself to the Stage 2 and increase fuel efficiency... i only had Stage 2 for a week and a half. mixed driving speeds, i would say 50%-50% driving on and off highways...

Get it protuned and you will see an increase, BUT each car is different. My 07wrx got CRAP for mileage after the tune.... But my STi is getting better than the stage 2 OTS was by far AND it's more aggressive than the previos wrx tune

    Interesting change in mpg

    So ever sense I purchased
my wrx new in 07 I average around 26-27 mpg. Even with stage 2 cobb. I got lucky a few times with 29-30 and not so lucky with sporty driving down around 21. Recently though I have been averaging 21 at best, with regular driving, nothing sporty. I even tried switching to economy mode on the AP, no change.
I havent a clue what has happened. I checked and cleaned the air filter, still looks really good. I mainly hwy drive, up to 300 miles at a time. Never have I got this low of gas milage unless I was averaging speeds in excess of 100. So I am at a loss hear...anyone have suggestions or ideas on what might have happened?
I have not thrown a CEL, keep up with strict maintenance, and the car doesnt seem to be acting different, no funny idle or backfiring. I do notice it smells like it is running rich, but that seems to be the case normally in WRX, unless I am mistaken.
So anything would be help me out if you have an idea!
    THANKS

i have been getting 340-360 mile per tank now. ever since stage 2. happy smile on my face!!

one weird thing i have noticed, even though i run 93oct map and run 91oct fuel with it. it seem to feel more fluid (accelaration and drivability)?? but still get the same fuel consumption. idk?

Stock ? If so, you should be around 22-23 hwy and city together. Unless you have a heavy right foot.

I'm 100% stock (except for the extra 45 HP I got when I tinted my windows) and I average around 24-26. However, I'm very light on the pedal when I'm not having fun. Probably safe to say that 1/2 to 3/4 of my driving is highway too.

I just took a trip to VA (400 miles) and I averaged about 28 on the way down and about 29 on the way back. Not shabby....

What did you do to gain 45hp?
