    2007 Sti Mpg Log

I know this has been done before so spare me. I am however going to personally take some of this sites bandwith to log my average MPG with my STI. Much easier then a PDF and everyone who cares can follow along to.

I have most of my MPG's from my 2006 in a simular thread that I didnt start.

So far on the first fill up I was able to get 21.3 mpg average. Little to no boost but mostly around town driving.

Second tank with a backroad detour still very little boost but more throttle I was able to pull 22.4.

Third tank with mostly a highway run (about 160 miles) in sixth gear at 65-75 mph (had to vary RPM's due to break in) got a great 24.1 average. The last tank had some backroad driving but most of it was that highway ship.

So far I am rather impressed with the car. Hopefully after the dealer reflash things will only get better. I have a feeling once the car is broke in I could easily pull 24's around town and 26-27 on the highway.

For the record I use the same gas station, same gas pump, and around the same time of day for each fill up. Oil is also checked at each fill up and so far no consumption that I saw.

Made a trip up to the mountains this weekend and the first take was just getting up there (up hill) and the weather was awful. I was downshifting alot to deal with traffic and push through slush and all kinds of other stuff. Averaged 22.5 mpgs on my way up there.

Then once I returned home I refilled as I was a little below 1/4 tank and I had gotten 25.7 mpg (no traffic, downhill mostly, and no slush/snow).

It should be noted the 22.5 rating was from a different gas station at a different time of day due to being far away from home. The 25.7 mpg run was at the same gas station the same time of day and the same pump I always use.

I finshed the break in period on my way home on the 25.7 mpg tank but I still varied RPMS slightly on both the way up and the way down.

They all seem really informative. I saw this particular thread while looking for a solution to my MPG problem.

I average 22.6 mpg back and forth to work.

However I recorded (and this is no lie) a 29.7mpg highway romp. Not really hitting boost or anything just coasting along around 70 or so.

I made sure I gave her a pat, and a kiss on the steering wheel

EDIT: Sorry I drive an 05 STi

Wow, I've forgotten what it's like to be able to do "5th gear pulls".
