Canada 2017 WRX - Upgraded Transmission and Infotainment?

    Have you guys seen this?

Apparently Subaru Canada announced the changes to the 2017 WRX. Are these updates coming to the states as well? I wonder if the upgraded infotainment is the 8 inch once.....

I've already ordered my 2017 limited LBP so hopefully we see these changes in the states!

Edit: looks like the Canadian STI is getting the infotainment update as well: https://www.morningstar.com/news/can...unleashed.html

    "Updated manual transmission"

I'd like to know more info about that change. If it's just improving the shifter itself, linkage, throw etc. Or if they did anything inside the trans / clutch. It makes sense because the shifting is one of the most complained about properties of the car "especially for new drivers of it."

I'm used to it now but I hope I didn't miss out on anything that may have improved functionality / longevity.

The other minor updates were expected, everything will eventually get apple / andriod "which would be nice" and that rat fur headliner needed to go.

    Good find OP!
