That half percent was a number I pulled out of my behind. I have no idea the true failure rate. I'd imagine Subaru would want to keep that number fairly close to their chest.
2015 CWP WRX STi ... But how did I get roped back into an EJ motor?!

Isn't the motor the same as in the 08-14 models?

Is it ok to load the engine in 4th gear in the 08-14 models?

Like it you're going 40 in 4th gear and you wanna get to say 70? OR should you down shift and accelerate?

    I have a 14 STI.

^you're over thinking this... and you don't need to be. Take it quite literally, just don't stab the pedal to full from low rpm. Doesn't mean you cant accelerate to 70 from 40 in 4th gear, just means that if you want to do it quickly, then its a good idea to downshift.

You know when you start in second and from dead stop to like 15mph the engine sounds like its full of molasses? That's what 'bogging down' or 'loading up' the engine at low RMP means and sounds like. Avoid doing that as much as possible.

Yes, the EJ257 is unchanged from 2008 through 2014 and relatively unchanged in 2015.
