Drove 500 miles last weekend, all highway.I averaged 32.2 mpg,at speeds ranging between 55 - 70 mph.Did not use the cruise control,so probably could have been better.A/C running the whole time. The car was smooth and quiet, just a little twitchy in hard crosswinds.Very comfortable seats,my back never ached. On and off ramps had my brother hanging on to the grab bar. Finally managed to get the tires howlin a bit.

Hey just curious, when you had the ac on for that long did you notice the car was really reduced in response to the pedal, i know ac uses the motor so its inevitable to have reduced power but on my old 2010 wrx i feel like it didnt hinder the vehicle this much, but yet on my girls 2014 forester it is by far worse

The AC did not noticeably affect the engine.

The MPG is the single most significant move forward Subaru have made this century in my view. That's terrific!

That's awesome news. I'm getting 21-22 MPG now in my '07 WRX (VF43'd) so anything higher than that I'm happy I can't wait to get my 2015!

That is amazing mileage. Since I did my stage 1 tune my mileage improved from 18-20 to 21-23 and I am pretty happy with that, esp since I don't have to drive very far for work.

What's most impressive is that the new WRX can kiss 30mpg while running 235 width summer rubber at each corner!

The most money I've ever spent on a car, worth every penny,it's a blast to drive.I'll try to get a mostly city mpg figure, without babying the car, more like most of us drive them.
