Subaru WRX hatchback enthusiasts might want to hold their breath for a little longer.
The launch of the all-new 2015 Subaru WRX noticeably had a hatchback variant missing from the lineup, but the Japanese automaker hasn’t shut the door on the model completely.
According to WRX Project General Manager, Masuo Takatsu, Subaru is still considering a five-door hatch body style for the WRX. Takatsu admitted that strong demand from the U.S. market has Subaru considering the hatch model, which accounted for half of the previous-generation’s sales.
