    Keep the old downpipe?

What do most of you do with your stock DP once you've swapped it out for an aftermarket? Do you keep it around just in case you need it for a future inspection or scrap it? Thanks.

I keep all of my stock stuff for any number of reasons. It's not like you'll make much money off of it anyway. It's always nice to have backups in case something breaks or if your car is wrecked or if you want to compete in stock classes, or you decide you don't like that mod anymore and you can just take it off and sell it without worrying if the buyer is going to stand you up or worry about trades because you can just take it off vs. it being stuck on there because your car can't run without it.

    Just my opinion.

I keep them to return to stock when I decide to trade my car in for something new.

You can make $75-$150 on stock downpipes...that's a decent little chunk of change. I sold my last couple...but may hold on to the stocker for my 2012 since I don't intend on keeping it forever.

Some places it's illegal to sell used catalytic converters. Make sure you know your local regulations.

Cat converter black market is fairly lucrative. I've been in since '09. Chemistry teacher by day.
