cracked bumper and piece sticking out

so i got my first impreza yesterday and with my luck there was a snow storm today, me being too excited i decided to drive it to school, as i was driving i saw a piece of ice but i didn't realize was ice until it was too late, the bumper is cracked a little which I'm not that worried about. a piece of the bumper is sticking out a little as you can see in the pictures attached, when i pushed on it, it wasn't moving a lot i think it was because of all the ice around it. is there a way i could fix this myself?

Pretty sure that piece comes off to access the tow hook. The ice is definitely not helping but the impact may have tweaked something that isn't allowing it to seat properly.

    My thoughts exactly.

Looks like another summer tire victim.

Melt the ice, put it back. You'll be good to go.

I see the crack your talking about just below the tow hook cover. It happens to a lot of us. You can go the route of the drill holes and zip tie stitch or you can take off the bumper cover and patch it up. I uesd Bondo Epoxy Bumper Repair Syringe Kit 0280
It helped and I also got a cheap ebay lip

just take the cover off till all the ice/snow melts so you dont lose it. (mine came off on the interstate after i hit a tire tread ) it should just snap back in. if it turns out to be broken you can get another one at the dealer for like 20 bucks (unpainted though)
