30k miles on my 2009 last week and this happens

I'm stuck in a parking lot and the car work start. I'm guessing electrical ( fuses look good) 1/4 turn lights go on, full turn and I just hear clicking and everything blinks... Guess I will have to get a tow to the stealership.

No radio when the lights go on.

Sorry for the rant just a tad angry.

    Probably just your battery died...
My wife got a brand-spanking new Forester a year ago, 4-5 month ago they put in a new battery under warranty... Shows that age doesn't matter when it comes to batteries vs age of car.

yeah I would assume battery also
If you're upset over someone elses opinions then the issue isn't with the person giving the opinion but rather yourself for taking it personal.

Ya I think its the batt, I figured the start would still try to kick over but maybe with new cars that's not the case.

In all cars, if your battery does not have enough juice to turn the starter it will just click and not slowly turn over like you were thinking. It could still have plenty of power to run accessories but if there are not enough amps for starter then click click click click click click.

Actually, it's been like that forever. The battery has enough power to power up the dash, but when you try to engage the starter, when the solenoid pulls in and the "big" contacts make, the current draw drops the battery voltage so far down that the solenoid drops out. Now the load is gone and the voltage comes back up, the solenoid starts to pull in again, click click click and so on...

My wife has a 2011 TDi when the batt is dead it will turn over but really slow, not enough to start. Same goes with my 70 Impala so i figured the WRX would be the same. But like ya'll have stated the car just clicked but everything turned on for the most part.
