    Oregon Trail Rally

My Boy and I went to Portland for the Oregon Trail Rally Race. I got to meet the Subaru Rally team (my fav because I own a WRX of course) and my kid got to meet Ken Block (his fav because "he crashes....A LOT!") It worked out well for us because I was cheering for Subaru to win and my boy was cheering for Ken Block to crash. Neither team disappointed us as Subaru finished in 1st place for the day and Ken Block lost a tire in the Chacanes during stage 4 and drove past us and through the hairpin curve on a rim shooting a massive roster tail of sparks. It was too dark for photos but the fireworks delighted my kid lol. We had a blast and next year we may stay for more than stages 1-4. Here's a few picks and vids, enjoy!

I missed the OTR this year, but I had a great time last year. Rallying is really fun to watch, especially since the courses mix tarmac and dirt in the same stage.

OTR is the only one close to us. My kid really wants to go see Global Rallycross but the closest event to us is LA. He really enjoyed OTR though. I think he'd lose his mind at a GRC event lol
