    Protecting Your Car

My parking lot is surrounded by oak trees; there is no escape. My car gets heavily coated with pollen within a day. Any advice for protecting my car from the pollen conveniently?

    ^That is a great option.

If you're not good at detailing or scared of wax you could just do a nice car cover.

Sorry for the post and run! Yea, Klasse has been AWESOME to me thus far. A car cover is another great option; please however do not use that static cling California what ever it's called... It will swirl you to hell and back. Your best option is to follow a 2-3 month detail cycle during the heaviest times of the year and be weary of sap.

A good klasse / wax will make it easy to just rinse away pollen. Pollen is really only dangerous if it's allowed to contaminate your paint. Get a good detail and a seal and try to hand wash the car weekly. Every 2-4 months you can have a trusted detail shop, or yourself if you have time / tools, clay the car, seal and wax again.

    AutoGeek Detailing flow chart.

My car after a wash about 2 weeks after I had it detailed with Klasse; it had also snowed in Boston prior to this pic being taken.

The layer of Klasse also protected my paint from this.... Yes that's salt, hydrant water, and ash/molten vinyl... Apparently a bloody house burned down next to my car while I was asleep... Came out the next day to this.

I protect my car with a nice layer of dirt, grime, pollen, and other airborne contaminants...that way nothing can hurt it.

Im sorry to take this off topic a little but I plan on doing a full detail to my car in the summer. Claybar, Compound, Polish etc. I was going to use all mequiars stuff. Would klasse be better? I don't know much about it

Ditto. Gotta protect that thin Subie paint somehow.

I go to Driven perfection and brought the Klasse kit. Completely worth the money; it's an acrylic style sealant, I was skeptical at first but people wouldn't stop talking about it in forums so I gave it a shot. Highly recommended.
This video is after my first Klasse application, we had heavy rain in MA in October.

I've heard good things about zaino. I've got the kit on hand, will be putting it on sometime in April.

i have used a lot of meguiars products with no problems. just fully detailed a friends and my car last weekend. havent looked into klasse though

OP- a good coat of wax will help out alot to protect the pollen from sinking in and contaminating the paint. id reccomend washing it one weekend , clay bar then wax. then the next weekend just rinse it off or wash then like every 2 or 3 weeks give her a nice wax and clay bar every few months like Krowe said. thats usually what i do. weekend schedule when its warm out.

also on my friends car i detailed last weekend she had over a year old sap in spots all over her car... took about 40 mins to get it all off and when it was off it made the paint raise. that couldve been taken care of if she just washed her car and had a layer of wax on it lol.

I use Meguiars all the time. I stopped using their Interior cleaner bc I didn't like the finish it left behind.

    What I use

ive used this ad works great. need to do inside of my lenses now.
    http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...storation-kit/

think its this but an older bottle
    http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...ditioner-64oz/

    think also this stuff
    http://www.meguiars.com/en/automotiv...tectant-16-oz/

and one of their liquid waxes.. i can take pics of what i use when i get home but meguiars line works well. i also use Mothers clay bar kit and when i ran out of the detailing spray i just used my harley cleaning detailing spray, worked the same but my clay bars have about 5 uses on each so tme to get a new pack most likely.

think this belongs in the detailign section as well
