Wassup guys, so i'm thinking of plastidiping my wheels on my black 2013 wrx what color should I do them.
If you have any tips for me let me know, since I am keeping my wheels on my car so I know to cover up my brakes with a bag.

I plasti dipped the rims on my 2012 and 2013 wrx. Wipe them down with windex. I used a heat gun to heat them as I went and it makes the plasti dip dry even. I used one can per wheel and they lasted a year and still counting on my 2012 before I traded it in I know the owner and they are still holding up good. 2013 has had them on for a week still no issues.

Matt/Gloss Red or Blaze orange would look really good on black and it would be much easier if you were to take the wheels off. You wont have to worry about overspray. I have a LR and I'll be dipping my wheels Blaze green or Blaze yellow with a white base coat.

Personally, I think it's very tacky. Your wheels look fantastic as they come out of the factory. I think you will regret it, especially when it starts to peel.

Your car, though, do whatever makes you feel good.

I like the idea of plasti dipping wheels. If it starts peeling then you peel it all off. Granted it might not be as easy as they make it sound, but you still can do it. Secondly I also like the factory wheels, but standing out from a crowd is always nice too. A lot of people just don't want to look factory.

I plastidipped mine and I loved the look. Just a FYI for you, make sure to put it on pretty heavy. This will make it much easier for you to remove if A. it peels or B. you end up not liking the look. I found out the hard way where I put on a light coat I really had to scrub the rims to get it off. The heavier parts came off in big pieces.

Great weekend project! Cheap and fun!

Dipyourcar.com sells wheel kits. Comes with 2 cans of white for base coat and 4 cans of the color of your choice. Also put index cards between the wheel and tire. I say no to the emblem. A overlay would look nice if you want to change it up.

I would love to do this to the stock silver wheels on the forester

Sort of like this. I hate the chrome accents on the door handles, roof rack & wheels.
