Just curious, what about a plain old '11+ WRX? Fastest I've done is about 85 in this car. I don't have any wants or needs to go any faster than that at my age now. Was hoping someone here already topped there's out so I don't ever get the itch to find out myself. I must be getting old, last 5-6 vehicles I've owned I couldn't tell you what they did top end wise. That said from about age 16-26 Every vehicle I had owned I had to try at least once.
Current vehicles:
2013 WRX Sedan, Base, SWP, Wingless
2011 Outback, Premium, 2.5i, CVT , SWP
2011 Ford F-150, SuperCab, XLT, 5.0L, V8
I have done 130 mph in my 11 wrx sedan.
Won't be doing it again anytime soon.

As said, with enough open roadway, you should be able to get up into the 150s. I don't have a stock '11 WRX ROM on my work computer, but usually they're ECU limited to the mid-high 150s, and even if you bump that number up, you're going to be drag limited to that.Originally Posted by Pool Runner

With you on that! I had my Eclipse pegged at 150 on a long downhill one time, and my CBR 954 to an indicated 180 at the track (when I was about 50lbs lighter), but they are known to have issues with speedo accuracy at speeds over 170. I can still hit 165-170 on the CBR when I feel like really late braking into turn 7 at Mid Ohio.
I haven't pressed the Subie to more than 100, just not worth risk on the street. If I ever get a chance to take it to the track I'll push it up some, but I'd be surprised if I could get more than 120 on the back straight at M-O without taking it to stage 2, and then I would definitely want some upgraded brakes.
Needless to say, and I don't condone it...I got to 155 on my Stage 2 protuned 07 STI before I shut it down...had about 1500rpms left in 6th gear. From what I understand, the GDs at least are limited to 176mph simply because of aerodynamics as is.

Runway events are the best way to see what your car can do (in terms of top speed). There's usually plenty of distance to wring the car out in a controlled environment and have plenty of room to brake. If you have the opportunity, DO IT.
