It just came to me..... I have owned over 30 cars in my day. Some came and went in a matter of a few weeks. Some were classics... some were new..... foreign.... domestic..... Muscle.... economy... sports cars.... I've owned everything.

Yet..... my trusty 06 WRX has managed to keep my attention for over 7 years now. I bought it new in Jan of 06. I've owned mint condition Vintage Porsches and Classic Trans Ams... and neither held my attention more than 4 years.

I know there is a lot of WRXs out there that have changed hands more times than a Vietnamese hooker.... so I'm curious..... who else REFUSES to ever get rid of theirs?

I've had mine for exactly 2 years on the 10th.

Still couldn't be happier with it.

I was going to (solely for medical reasons)... Just can't bring myself to do it. I just installed more "injured-neck friendly" struts in it. It's still pretty rough from all the chassis stiffening... but it is bearable.... Bearable enough to continue using it as my DD until I retire in just over a year.

This thread is for people that have gone beyond "bewb" status - LOL

    Ten years.

If a modern car fails in such short time I see no reason to ever buy that brand again.

So far, so good but the car is only ten years old. They'd better have built it well or it's my last!

My WRX is a mixed bag...so useful at times as a 4-door wagon, sure-footed with AWD...quirky and noisy, like I said to someone on Fbook, yesterday...

...and then there are these weird mornings, where I crank it up, the temp/humidity/alignment of the stars are just right, and the car feels like magic on the road, and I'm grinning like an idiot. It happens just often enough for me to keep from selling it.

2 years, 10 months, + a few days. Only complaint, there is always just one more mod before I'll leave it alone.
