So I'm on leave for New Year's week and my clutch gave out 2 days ago. Now I'm carless until my new clutch gets here, which might take a minute since I'm in the middle of nowhere Mississippi. Fun times! That's it, nothing else, just bitching about it to my auto peers.

What'll the traffic conditions look like? I limped around for a couple days shifting clutch-less on a old borrowed Z4, wasn't particularly fun but it worked....

Ouch, $2,200 sounds steep for a clutch job.

yeesh....other than high labor rates? unless somebody opted for a high performance clutch...... how fast can a pro subie tech swap a clutch anyway? ive heard anywhere from 4 to 10 hours. of course, ive heard of 250$ labor charges to change plugs too.
