What Model/Year Was the First Subaru You Bought, And how many Subies Have You Owned?

My first Subaru was 1996 Outback Wagon, in that classic Green with lower Grey body panels...that is when I started to swear by Subaru and not at them!

I am now on Subaru #7: a new 2013 World Rally Blue (nick name BLUE ANGEL) WRX Premium Sedan, my 2nd WRX.

The first time I ever became aware of Subaru vehicles, was in the Military out in California in 1978 when I saw a bright yellow BRAT (Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter)...I didn't know it then....but that was when I became hooked on Subies.

2005 STi was my first Subaru, then came the 2012 WRX sedan and now 2013 WRX Hatch. That would add up to three Scoobies.

My WRX is the first subie. Most likely it won't be my last I've always liked the Legacy and the BRZ looks fun.

What sold me on them was watching my buddy Joe take his WRX through just about anything...

My first Subaru was a 2001 Impreza RS Sedan...still miss this car.

First car was a 2005 OBP WRX
Now onto a 2013 SWP WRX Hatchback

I seriously considered going another direction this time around due to expensive maintenance and lack of funds but realized I would rather stretch my funds and drive the car I love for a 6 year loan than a car I wouldnt be happy with half way through my loan.

First Subaru was my 2002 sedan, bought new in 2002. Mods included what Cobb called "stage 2.5", that is, the VF34 turbo with supporting mods.

Second was a 2005 Legacy wagon, briefly used for family service. I loved it; the wife wasn't as big a fan.
The third was my 2002 wagon, purchased used in January 2006. It's still hanging on. Hybrid engine swap, TD06-18G, TurboXS IC, blah blah blah.

For the record, the first Subaru that I ever drove was a 1985 Subaru XT. It failed to impress me, other than being the weirdest-looking car that I'd driven at the time.

Straight off the showroom floor. A/C was a $900 option, which I passed on, as was automatic (which, of course, was for pussies) . I sweated my A ss off in that car.
