    The WRX WAVE

Just traded my 2010 JEEP Wrangler Unlimited in on a new 2013 WRX World Rally Blue Premium Sedan

Us JEEP owners had what we call the JEEP WAVE...whenever you passed another JEEP, you wave...in my case: I waved a 2 Finger Peace Sign Salute!

    Is their a WRX WAVE?

If not, I'm going to start one...if you see a 2013 WRX WR Blue Driver in the tri-state area, waving you the Peace Sign Salute, and wonder who that fool is...it's MACE!

I swear by Subaru and not at them!!!

    I have a '12 and I wave.

I also have a Miata and waving is a big thing for that car too. Although my favorite is using the pop-up headlights.

I think this is common where most owners of the car are enthusiasts. For cars like BMWs, Mustangs and Camaros, it might just be an automatic that they bought because it looks cool.

The WRX is manual only and the Miata is small, impractical and has a high manual take rate.

Also, perhaps controversially, I think Evos are cool too. Most of their owners are driving enthusiasts too, and I respect that far more than some guy that buys a gigantic truck only used to drive freeways and haul air. It doesn't even seem worth hating on Evos, I've seen a whopping 2 since I bought my WRX, compared to tons of STIs and other WRXs.

I tell my girlfriend to wave to the WRX that was about to pass us on the freeway. Just expected a little wave from her... Nope.
She rolls down the window, sticks her arm straight out and waves.
    =D
