Deer VS My STI

Lucky no one was hurt and the STI is not totaled. No estimate done on it yet but that's being done tomorrow but appears to be all cosmetic. Was heading up north to visit family and was driving by an apple orchard at about 7PM, considering the location and time of year and time at night the chances of deer being present are quite high. The officer that responded said a lot of deer are hit in that area. Well here is the resulting damage.

Yeah thats frost while I was up at my dads house. It was 23* there this morn. Im a few hrs south of there but still not that cold in the mornings yet down in this area.

That doesn't look to bad, glad no one was hurt.

Sidebar: I hit a pregnant deer in a 3-series a few years back - one of the scariest moments of my life.

No idea where it ended up. I know it did not go to far, deff killed it but it was not in the road. Probably was just off in the ditch but I had no desire to find it or keep it. No way it survived its head is what broke the windshield.

OH ****! Sorry for what happened dude. Hopeully insurance will pay for it, if not most of it.

they are paying for all of it. Its being counted as a comprehensive claim. Only going to cost me $100

Man, that really sucks....

On the up side, 100 bones isn't bad.

side-bar....Since the whole left side needs to be painted, and the paint is metalic, which is hard to match, I wonder if you can get a full respray out of it to cure the 'Subaru paint' as well?

I think usually that's what the insurance qoutes for. At least they did for my mom's accord when my brother totaled it...for the second time...in less then a year

I noticed the subaru pain flaked and pealed off quite easy. Ive had plenty of other times where I have needed body work and have not seen the paint flake and peal as easy as it did with this.
