My "someday" garage definitely includes a lift. I grew up scraping myself up as I crawled under cars as well, but have no great need to keep doing so.

    You're not getting any younger!

I'm 99% going to order a maxjax setup today for my third bay in the garage. I'm excited.

I have double height ceilings in my garage, and I'd love to install a lift someday.

I'm way too lazy to look through their website, so do you mind me asking what you paid? Is there any sort of installation required?

*You have to drill 10 anchor holes (5 per post) with a rotary drill and sink the supplied anchors into the concrete.
*Your house must have 4" thick slab in the garage of 3000 psi concrete.

    Otherwise its pretty easy.

Mine was just under $2150 shipped with 2 seats, motorcycle adapter, and 8 gallon oil drain drum, and that is with 7.25% Cali tax because GEUSA/dannmar/bendpak are california businesses. I bought it from Kristi at GEUSA and she is awesome, I had to haggle a little but she hooked it up. When they first came out they ran a promotion price of $1500 shipped for the first lot. Since then they have ran several group buys for the car forums at around $1850 for just the lift shipped.

I stumbled on The Garage Journal Board - Powered by vBulletin

And there are tons of owners there with installation info and setup.

Mine should be here tomorrow or thursday.

That's a pretty good price. All the ones I was looking at before I moved were 2500+

    Its here!

Went and picked it up from the trucking terminal today. Snapped some pics of it loaded which was a feat in itself due to the packaging. Had to unpack it all to get it out of the truck. Hopefully i'll install it this weekend and everything goes smooth.

    Its in!

Installed it today. Drilling into concrete even with a roto-hammer is not very fun. Ofcourse what didn't help is that it was 105 here today. So its in and works and I'm now drinking beer in the AC.

This isn't the highest lift height, I still need to do some clearancing up above in my shelves to get to max height.

A pic of the arms at the lowest locking place before I hooked up the hydraulics and was just checking square.

I give you props sir. When I first saw this thread I thought, oh god it's one of those " Im thinking about buying a Ferrari, what do you guys think? " knowing damn well you aren't going to buy a Ferrari, your just thinking out loud and seeing how many people would think it was cool.

Congrats that thing is awesome, I think just about every "car guy" would love to have one of those including me.

I would think it would get exhausting, seeing the world in such negative terms.

I wonder if more people thought this. I was thinking "Damn only barely on the second page on a car forum".
