Ha, you haven't been around long enough to know the original name for the "Hawkeyes."

I try to wave when I can, but usually I see fellow Subies after work and I'm tired and just want to get home...so I don't wave...or the sun is blinding me, or some other excuse.

When I had my EP3, Civic SI (the egg looking one for those that aren't familiar) I never waved because I really didn't care for the car that much, lol.

I think Subies wave more than the average Honda because there really aren't very many about and people that do buy them are enthusiasts.

Despite my current drought, I will definitely second this. The drought whilst I was in the Honda world was 6 years long lol.

Ooh,hang on. That is the throb of a turbocharged flat four engine. A sound which, all over the world, heralds the imminent arrival of a moron - JC.

I see about 5 or 6 WRXs a day... only a blinding minority ever return the wave gesture.

If you drive a Honda and intend to wave at fellow owners, you might as well wave the whole way home without stopping lol there are so many of them. (around here at least) And I bet some of them would think that you're trying to race them and probably would rev their engine.

This is what I am getting at. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of WRX out there as well, but no where near the amount of Honda variations that a lot of people throw a body kit on and call it cool.

Arm out the window wave for me, always.
I wonder how they came up with name for all of them? I mean the bugeye is obvious but I can see how the rest would get easily confused.

Ha, actually I have four. Sorry, just not seeing the similarity. Maybe I should try pissing my car off. I could hang furry dice from the mirror. That should do it.

Ironic, because if you hung furry dice from your cat, it would probably like it.

I'm starting to appreciate my bugeye more now a days simply because they seem to be getting more rare. There are plenty of base model Imprezas from '02-'03, but to me it seems like the supply of WRX from that time period is dwindling.

Just all based on headlight shape.

I'm in complete agreement with this one... although the one other Bugeye WRX in my area that I've seen is the same color as mine just his rims are painted light blue... and badly at that. I thought of suggesting the site but really don't want to associate with the punk... or be associated with him as well by virtue of referring... I've been stopped 3x due to HIS driving because the cops thought it was the same car... and he's revved his engine outside my house numerous times anywheres from midnight to 3am on a few occasions... NOT COOL
