Rear-ended in my 2012 WRX Today....

This was one of the first thing's I noticed as well... pretty crazy.

The airbags didn't deploy actually, the rear impact just didn't trigger them.

Glad you were ok. As others have said, make sure you get them to cover a rental while you are without your car. If they total the car, be sure to either pull off any modifications or get their insurance to pay for them as well.

I'm glad you're OK. I assume you don't have many mods on the car. ? If that's the case, I'd prefer it totaled. Then you can start afresh.

Close. It was an '84 Monte Carlo lifted with 22-24" rims... I'll post a pic after I get off work.

Working on getting a rental car still. His insurance company is putting everything on hold until they "determine liability," which is humorous... he admitted to the cop he was at fault and was issued a ticket.

Great.. so not only is he one of those dufus's that roll around with huge wheels and tiny little factory brakes.. those contraptions are about as safe as giving razors to emo kids. Looks like he's also got some slimy low rate insurance company too (though, most of them are even the good ones).

Take that headache and likely sore neck into the doctor and hit him with soft tissue damage. That should nicely jack up his interest rates beyond affording to drive again.

That really sucks!

1. Because you only had the car for 3months and Im sure it was your baby

2. Because you got hit by a frickin Donk. Guaranteed the wheels and tires cost 2x the value of the car and he probably didn't bother upgrading the drum brakes with those ridiculous wheels.
