    Tires Tires Tires. So many!!

My car finally gets out of the shop Monday. I'll be taking it straight over to have some new tires put on and an alignment since I just put epic springs on it. I can't decide what tire to get. I've been looking at the proxe 4 since it's all season, but where I live we don't get snow. It gets pretty damn cold and wet in winter but never snow. I live an hour away from Tahoe and do go snowboarding a lot but I don't really go when it's snowing. So I'm kinda looking at a high performance summer tire I can use year round? If there's such a thing. The most a drove threw this year was barely half a inch of snow in the Sierra parking lot. Anyone help me out? Looking for mainly dry and wet tire. But can handle some slush if on the road heading to Tahoe.

It's not just snow you need to consider, but temperature as well; summer tire compound is not meant to be used in sub-40 temperatures.

The black round ones work well enough.

    Aye.

I have had decent winter traction with the Falken Ziex ZE912. A performance oriented all season tire best suited for dry / wet roads with acceptable snow grip. This is not the best tire in deeper 4"+ snow.

My current summer only tire is the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec. Amazing grip in an affordable tire.
