    2002 wrx, turbo 5 speed.

Im new here. Im looking at a 2002 bugeye for sale by my house. Its the wrx turbo 5 speed. It has 50,000 original miles. 100%stock. The guy that owns it now bought it new as a retirement present for himself but is looking to sell it to buy a new outback. He's looking to get $12,000. Which I think is a good price. He has every recipt you could think of for normal servicing. He was a car designer for ford and I can tell he is a complete neat freak. The car is in amazing condition. Im just looking for some input on weather its a good deal, or is there anything I need to look out for? I will post a few pictures later.

i paid 13200 for my bugeye back in 06 with maybe 55k on it... so I'd say the price is a little high unless it is in MINT condition

I bought my stock 2003 bugeye with 80k, clean title, perfect maintenance, and all receipts for $9k last October, so I think that's a bit high. Id say $11,000 would be a good price.

eh, hard to say. I got my bugeye last august with 67k, super clean, some records and I paid 8500, but i was told i got a steal. It was TOTALLY stock, but I had to buy 4 new tires b/c they were miss-matched. Then a radiator so pretty much a little over 9k for it. I would also offer 11k, BUUUUUUUT just know it took me almost 4months to find my car, test drove a TON of junk before finding it too. I wouldn't let someone else buy it is what i'm getting at.

i would pay top dollar for a 1 [older] owner, extremely low mileage [an 02 should have at least 90k if not more], stock bugeye. especially if the guy has all the records/receipts/etc.

you can try to talk him down of course, but if he isnt budging, i'd still say it's worth it

So rare to find a bugeye in a condition like that. I'd do it...but definitely try to talk him down.

+1 on the other responses... price is a little high... totally stock may make this car worth it though, just talk him/her down on the price.

It's the price you pay to buy an old car that I'd bet has never been launched but just driven like a normal every day car. Just look up to see what it is worth. If it is a fair price in their eyes see if you can get him down to what you can afford and go from there.

Try to talk him down a little. But, we all know how these cars are pretty hard to find in good condition and not abused. I paid 14k for an 04 WRX with 50,000. Good luck with your purchase.
