    I was 25 when I bought my 13 wrx now I am 26 with 2 kids, and its funny I saw this thread cause yesterday I heard someone walk by my car and say " that's what 18 yr olds drive" I'm sorry but I don't know of any teenagers that can afford a car like this, its not some ricer car.

    Yeah I think there is a little stigma attached to these cars, for people not in the know. Ironic that you mention your story, I'm walking around the show room waiting for my oil change ...looking at 35K/37K STI's and I'm thinking this is "not" a kids car, in more ways then one.

    23, first new car, first subaru. Bought a 2014 SWP WRX hatch after getting in a pinch from totalling my jetta via a deer.

    Was extremely interested in an Evo X or STi sedan, but I wasn't in a good enough "spot" for either. Plenty of people at local meets here go on about "it's no STi", and how it's a "settled for less" car but I enjoy the car and the shorter loan length.

    Was 25 when I bought my '02 Wagon and 27 when I bought my '11 Wrx sedan (why don't they bring wagons back?!?).

    I'm definitely one of the oldest STi owners I know. Bought my 2004 WRX wagon new at 39.
    Finally got my STi hatch (2012) at 49.
    Almost 51 now and totally enjoying camping, autoxing, and tracking this car. (Stg II now with a pro tune)
