At 16 your insurance would far exceed your car payments. You're clearly not paying for EVERYTHING

Some will say its wrong. Others will say otherwise. I'm not going to lie, my parents helped me out with car/car insurance all through HS and college. If you appreciate it and learn to be responsible with what you're given as well as help out as much as you can when you can, then that's a plus. As long as you don't come on here bragging all over the place about what parents bought you, and are humble about it, you're already more grown up than most of the younger crowd here. You seem to be on the right path

Thanks, and it's not something to be bragging about that your parents pay your insurance.

My parents helped me out with insurance through high school, and most of college. The difference is that I didn't post up on a forum somewhere saying "I PAY FOR EVERYTHING!!!11!!" (not talking about recent posters...other folks that have posted in the past)

Of course, there was also no such thing as forums in the 1980's, so there's that.
