I'm 53 and the old lady is 56 sharing a 2011 WRX. I got over what folks think a long time ago and love the machine. The old lady gives the kids a DFWM look and shows 'em what it'll do every chance she get.

You should get her the t-shirt I gave my 58 year old girl at Christmas: "Yes, it's fast. No, you can't drive it."
This 2011 is WRX #4 for her.

I'm 25 and bought my 2010 WRX 2 months ago. First car was a Geo Spectrum hatchback sky blue. I've evolved!! To fill the tank on that ***** it took $9.

I'm 25 and just ordered my first WRX.

Sure I've wanted one since I was 16, but I couldn't afford one. I say most young guys that have them worked their butt off for it or mommy and daddy helped. So based off that I wouldn't call it a kids car. I could see that with something like a Civic SI.

I am 30 and most of the people I know who own them are in their late 20s or early 30s.

being a Subaru dealer I think I can speak knowledgeably on the subject. I would say the average age goes up with the price of the car. Here are my best guesses, wrx base/premium=avg. 27 WRX Ltd= avg 30 STi =35. I have plenty of STi owners out there in thier late 50's though. Doctors, accountants etc. The car really holds massive appeal with most age groups.

My local forum has a fairly solid cross section of ages, incomes, etc... Definitely starting to see a slight bias towards younger drivers however since WRX's are much more affordable for an older model now.

I'm 58 and have had lots of great cars. 66 Shelby,68 chevelle and BMWs most recent. My 2012 WRX is all of those cars rolled into 1. Fast, handles great, looks good even with an old guy in it that knows how to drive it and make it work.

I am 18. Bought a hybrid before and moved in to this. Insurance was higher for the hybrid due to it being a hybrid "sports car". Paying everything myself.
