Yea, silver is good at hiding. While silver may be boring - a silver WRX / STI makes up for it.
I'm an old guy with lots of activities and short on time. Plus old age takes some time for keeping health up too. So simplicity is important to me. That is a major reason silver appeals to me - can't afford to be a slave to anything.
One bad thing about silver / gray is it may blend your car into the road somewhat and not show up as good as red. Have to be on the defensive more while driving. But that was more so in the old days, before headlights were on at all times.
BTW, if you guys want simple living furniture go with natural or (close to it) oak. Hides defects, dust etc. Worst is smoked glass and dark cherry. Shows every speck of dust.
I would say green, as I had 27 years of green vehicles, but the two Subie wagons I have now, and the A6 are/were black, so I might be flexible.
I've found that the best way to keep black from getting swirlies in the paint is to never wash them. Had the OBXT for three years now, and it's never been washed other than a hosed down to get the mud off or a trip through the spray it yourself car wash.

Black and Silver are my favorite of all.
This. Certain colors work better with particular car shapes, to my eye.
I've really enjoyed my WRB cars...they "pop" in a crowd (especially when they first came out, 11 years ago), and continue to look pretty good even when a little dirty. That said, I think I'm about ready for a change on my next vehicle. I'm thinking about white or silver, but may go another direction before it's over.

Yeah, god help me, if I ever decided to own an old MGB or similar, BRG would be the choice for sure.

Growing up in central Illinois means I have a soft spot for primer red most commonly seen on dogtracking novas with three different rims...
I still have a black car and its tough to keep shiny in the dustbowl that is central oklahoma but I love my WRB now with that Plasma blue a very close second, but I really like the more vibrant blues Ford Lexus and Hyundai have these days. Reds are so different from car to car it is tough to decide till I see the car in person. I stay away from whites and silvers personally because I feel they look like fleet cars no matter what the badge says. Porsche has a good chocolate color that pops in bright light other than that neutral colors belong in hotel rooms and hospitals only. Trucks look best dirty.
Not as many parts left over this time... what am I missing?
Plasma blue pearl is pretty sexy

I love my SWP. I like all the color options, but I wanted something that I don't see all the time.
