Yeah, normally they're reliable as hell, but I've had $10k in repairs in the last year. To be fair, a few grand of that was due to a shop blowing the head unit when they replaced the battery (which I didn't pay for). The rest of it was due to a blown o-ring on the oil cooler, which is a few dollar part, but requires dropping the engine. Then I had the alternator go. Thank god for the extended warranty I paid less than $500 out of pocket for everything!

Congrats on the new ride. That's crazy you have a $2k monthly car payment. Assuming you can afford it why not get something like the GT-R? Nothing against the sti, I would love to have one. Just wondering.

I need something with 4 doors as a kid hauler. I already have a 911 Turbo as my fun car when my ex has the kids and I'd rather have that any day over a GT-R. At the end of the day, you're still driving a Nissan. Not for me.

+ 1 to the paint quality issues... My whole car needs to be repainted at this point. I should by stock in touch up paint! And congrats Teflon, I'm a big fan of the sedan, I'm thinking about trading in/up.

Well I picked it up today. Bye bye G-wagen! Pictures to follow soon.....

My insurance went up about $20 a month versus the gwagen, so no saving there. But my payments, even with taking a $10k hit on trading in the G, went down $1100 a month. I like that, even if it cost me $10k to do it.

Good point, can't wait to see pics. Did you get the BBS wheels?

Yes, I think the Limited comes with them standard. I haven't really explored the options. The only thing I did so far was reset the rev alarm that was set at 2200 rpm. It was annoying the crap out of me!

I think that is only hatches and the limited. The normal sedan does not I believe. Not to hijack the thread here.

Let me know your thoughts on the car =).

I set mine to 3500 for break-in on my 07 STI...and then to 6750 for shifting on the drag strip.

Yeah, the normal sedan comes with the regular wheels. I thought the BBS were an option on the hatches too though. Only standard on the Limited???

I set it to a 400 short of redline. I don't need it to tell me when I'm getting to high for break-in.
